Truskavets is one of the oldest balneological resorts in our country, as large reserves of underground mineral waters are concentrated here. The date of the official founding of the resort is considered to be 1827, when a room for the first eight baths was built here. The Austro-Hungarian Empire, Poland, the Soviet Union and 30 years of independence - Truskavets as a resort has never ceased to exist. The city is located in a valley in the foothills of the Eastern Carpathians, 100 km south of Lviv and 90 km from the western border. The railway connects it with the largest cities of Ukraine, and Lviv also has an international airport.

POST-COVID REHABILITATION PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED IN TRUSKAVETS

Every year, more than 200,000 people from all over Ukraine and abroad come to Truskavets for treatment and recreation. 30% are traditionally foreigners. They come here, in particular, for the local water "Naftusia". Immunomodulatory functions of Truskavets waters are scientifically proven: 12 doctoral theses and 25 dissertations have been written about clinical and experimental researches of water. After the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986, people who were then working at the station were brought to Truskavets to monitor their condition and the effects of water on their bodies.

Mineral water is used for therapeutic purposes both internally and externally - take soothing baths to improve the nervous system, as well as for the musculoskeletal system.

There are 28 clinics and 14 laboratories in the city, where diagnostics and complex treatment are carried out.

When the lockdown was announced, recreational activities in Truskavets almost stopped because the transport did not work, and after it ended, people were simply afraid to go somewhere, even though there were no outbreaks of coronavirus in Truskavets. Now we are gradually recovering and inviting tourists, because the main thing for us is safety: the city employs 600 doctors and 2,000 paramedics who are familiar with infectious diseases and know how to behave. In addition, the Truskavets-Lviv highway was repaired last year, and now it is the shortest route - 83 km. Previously, we could be reached only on the Stryi highway, almost 100 km long, which was loaded with trucks.

TODAY TOURISTS HAVE INCREASED DEMAND FOR REST

People are exhausted. They are tired of both the protracted pandemic and the hectic pace of life in big cities. Therefore, both seniors and young people come to us on vacation. Truskavets is a nice quiet town with fresh mountain air, there are no factories and large industries, and most importantly - no one is in a hurry, everyone walks, because the city contributes to this. In the center of Truskavets there are 57 hectares of park, part of which is the first sanitary zone of strict regime, protection of medicinal water deposits, and the rest of the territory is a huge promenade, which doctors painted for patients to walk in Austria. The park is made in the English style and is a monument of landscape art of national importance. Here birds sing and hand squirrels run. The city itself is hilly, so there are even developed routes for healthy walking.

WE ARE WORKING ON CITY IDENTICS

In 2017, we approved the city's tourist logo. In the Truskavets logo, graphic designer Yuriy Krukevych used the image of water drops, selected the appropriate color scheme, which informs a person about the content and uniqueness of our brand, which is based on the water resources of our land. In our opinion, the Truskavets logo is very successful, because it performs its main function, in addition, water is one of the greatest values on the planet today. The slogan of our resort is also very relevant - "Truskavets - a city of health".

Truskavets

Last year Truskavets won the competition of projects "Small towns - big impressions" with the project  Creating a cultural space in the resort town of Truskavets for the celebration of Christmas and Easter. As part of the project, designers and architects created a collection of figures from the nativity scene and Easter eggs with angels, using Boyko ornaments and drops of water, which were designed for our logo. Thus, we try to use a branded style to create modern cultural products of the city.

Truskavets

We registered the trademark to increase the visibility of the city and attract tourists, because Truskavets is a really special place where Ukrainians can regain strength and relax body and soul.
