A Threat to the Intellectual Property: The New Google AI Model
Introduction
In a fast changing world, at multiple ocasions the IP has suffered threats, especially in the digital world. The internet piracy is so usual that it is considered sometimes as something "normal". The threats are growing, and now the IP is facing a new serious problem: the AI. Not only in the field of creation, but also in the field of the existing intellectual property. Its name is Gemini 2.0.

How does it work
The new google AI model has a multimodal tool, which can be used as good as it can be used badly. This new Gemini mode can be activated easily, giving you a world of possibilities with image edition and generation, and the most shocking fact is that it is free. It is as easy as writing a prompt to edite the image as you want. So far it has been proven several times, especially on removing watermarks and, it works surprisingly good, even if the results are not always perfect. A lot of users have already proven the ability of Flash experimental and shared their results on social media.
What does it mean to the world of the intellectual property?
This changes are highly debatable, especially if we think about the consequences on the property and privacy. The AI has been already used especially to design trademark logos, which is another problem that causes a lot of debate, especially if we see the attitude towards this designs in different IP offices. But, as always, this change can be received in two ways: refuse it or adapt to it. The AI is one of the several challenges the IP has faced in its history. Also, Google already informed that using AI to delete watermarks is a clear example of privacy rules violation. We are still waiting for clear instructions and laws about the use of the AI, even if in few countries it has been already implemented a law to regulate the use of the AI.
